ADOPTING A TURTLE OR TORTOISE DIRECT FROM THE TORTOISE TRUST

 

The Tortoise Trust regularly receives tortoises and turtles in need of a new home. Most are from Tortoise Trust members that can no longer keep the tortoises in their care due to death, old age, poor health, or unexpected life changes. The Tortoise Trust rehoming system ensures that these long-lived animals will be placed with keepers that will ensure their future welfare.

These animals are not sold, but are re-homed to the best homes and best qualified keepers we can find. There are some important points you must understand, however, before applying to receive such animals.
